This is a long record (53 min) for vinyl. Yes, there is more dynamics in the CD, but this LP is surprisingly nice sounding! Maybe best pressing you can get in one LP disc. Despite printed credits copied from the 1991 CD release, this LP was not mastered at Masterdisk or by Bob Ludwig. Please only add matrices variants to this release if at least one of the two sides begins with "[MPO logo] 20..." This version had the lacquer cut at Nashville Record Productions Inc, cut by Wes Garland "WG/NRP" and pressed by United Record Pressing as differentiated by matrix/runout. It was released right around the time of Vitalogy, yes. There was a little MTV news clip with Kurt Loder that mentioned this (probably talked about both releases), and he specifically quoted Jeff Ament talking about how he "...was one of those people left out of the loop" when vinyl was sent the barbecue pit in 1990-1991. Maybe it's somewhere out there on YouTube, who knows? Thanks guys. I’d say it sounded pretty good. It felt like “Once” sounded a little weird at the beginning and had a little bit of surface noise, but it was mostly clean. Limited vinyl LP pressing. Ten is the debut studio album by Pearl Jam, released on August 27, 1991 through Epic Records. Following the disbanding of bassist Jeff Ament and guitarist Stone Gossard's previous group Mother Love Bone, the two recruited vocalist Eddie Vedder, guitarist Mike McCready, and drummer Dave Krusen to form Pearl Jam in 1990. Most of the songs began as instrumental jams, to which Vedder added lyrics about topics such as depression, homelessness, and abuse. Ten was not an immediate success, but by late 1992 it had reached #2 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album produced three hit singles: "Alive", "Even Flow", and "Jeremy".

Please only add matrices variants to this release if at least one of the two sides begins with "[MPO logo] 22..." This is much better sounding pressing than the current reissue, which was dull and anemic sounding. Don't know but the "original US" was not released until several years after--though it is the only one with which the band may have had any involvement. Does anyone know for sure when it came out? I think it may have been released in concert with Vitalogy, which came out on vinyl before cd. Anyway, the Holland is the "original"--the only one you could get when the record was released. Decent enough pressing, especially considering the retail price and that it's one of only two colored variants of the album, if I'm not mistaken. But it's a typical MPO pressing, despite a wet clean there's a constant level of surface noise, which is noticable during the quiet parts. Propably not that big of a deal as most of the album is heavy enough.
